Web-based Manufacturing Operation Management (MOM) Software from Intercim

-- Product News, 28 June 2008

Intercim has released Pertinence Suite, powered by Velocity manufacturing operation management (MOM) software. It is designed to manage the entire production process from design through final inspection. The software is comprised of process planning, process rules discovery, process execution, operations advisor, emergent process management (EPM) and performance tracker.
Its “powered by Velocity” core is a transactional layer that facilitates data exchange between modules. Using service oriented architecture (SOA) and built upon the Microsoft .Net platform, the system is billed as the only completely Web-based, commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) operations management solution available.
A patented predictive analysis capability lets manufacturers understand and prevent quality defects before they happen. A new value-based pricing model eliminates the large initial investment typical in purchasing enterprise software licenses.
The company installs its software modules at the client site, which then allows users to access them as they wish, without having to set up new contracts and without limiting the number of users. Native Web technology allows the software to manage production within the four walls of the factory, across a company’s enterprise and throughout the supply chain.
