Korenix Introduces Anti-Piracy Technology for Jetbox Embedded Computer

-- Product News, 8 July 2008

Korenix introduces "Encrypted Auto-run Customization Setting for the Devices" technology to protect customer software programs. The purpose of this patented technology is to protect software from being copied illegally.
The patented technology allows customers to run specific configuration or applications in the JetBox 9300/9310 industrial embedded computer automatically. According to Korenix, all the settings stored in a SD card cannot be copied and abused when someone tries to install the SD card in other computer.
However, the Autorun.sh Update function provides the flexibility to let users update the autorun.sh file through TFTP server under the CLI of the JetBox 9300/9310 industrial embedded computer. Users telnet the JetBox 9300/9310 LAN IP address to enter the CLI, specify the TFTP server and swap the original autorun.sh file in the SD card of the JetBox9300/9310 with the new one in the TFTP server.
