Advantech Embedded Core Services (Emb'Core) announces the introduction of three new EFI (Extensible Firmware Interface) solutions that make embedded applications more reliable.
Embedded EFI BIOS, Embedded EFI Pre-Boot Application and Embedded EFI Alert Server solutions allow customers to configure BIOS features for specific vertical market demands. Advantech says it can support vendors' BIOS EFI solutions, and provide versatile embedded software features and customization services.
"EFI is an evolution from legacy BIOS architectures, and Advantech Emb'Core Service provides innovative embedded EFI solutions specifically for the Industrial PC market," said Miller Chang, director of the Emb’Core Group. "We focus on embedded EFI BIOS, pre-boot applications and interface development to provide an embedded EFI ready solution to the Industrial PC market."
Advantech Embedded EFI solutions include 3 major tools: Embedded EFI BIOS - flexible configuration lets customers tailor products to a wider range of designs and target markets; Embedded EFI Pre-Boot Application - automatically diagnose CPU temp, fan speed and voltage, and send to the remote EFI Alert Server for further action; Embedded EFI Alert Server - real-time temperature, fan and voltage monitoring and alarm setting to remotely watch the system status and log events for tracking.
Advantech's Embedded Core Service (Emb'Core) is an open business model to provide integrated software and module solutions for speeding up application development. The key proficiency of Embedded Core Services is software, firmware and hardware module integration capability that offers customized solutions.
