Schneider Electric and Krohne Announce Cooperation at Gastech 2009

Schneider Electric and Krohne have unveiled a new and innovative pipeline management solution at Gastech 2009 in Abu Dhabi. The combined product and services solution helps to enhance pipeline performance and safety through pipeline simulation, pipeline leakage detection, energy management, integral security, advanced process automation and a complete pipeline instrumentation package.
The combined solution consists of a collaborative, open and scalable architecture platform. Real-time monitoring and automation is achieved through the Schneider Electric’s SCADA system, safety is handled with Schneider PLCs and RTUs. Krohne will provide pipeline instrumentation including highly accurate custody transfer flow measurement products together with its most reliable pipeline leakage detection system.
“This partnership is a great opportunity for our customers who require solutions for pipeline process optimisation and enhanced pipeline integrity. With the recognised expertise of Schneider Electric in energy management and security, Krohne will add its know-how in model-based leak detection combined with its best-in-class flow meters,” comments Stephan Neuburger, Managing Director, Krohne.
